My Story

Welcome to my backyard superstore…

I made a decision a few years back to try to live more sustainably, to avoid plastic and to be more mindful about where things I consume come from and how they are made -whether it be food, clothes, household, cleaning or cosmetic products.

Super Natural Thing is borne out of my enjoyment of making things. My earliest memories are of watching my Dad, artist Graham Clarke making etchings, water colours, printing and all sorts of things - I have always loved helping him with his work (and still do to this day) and am lucky enough to live in a cottage adjoining his studio. My Dad taught me letter press printing, he is a constant inspiration to me. My late partner Jason Buckham taught me the joys of screen printing and over dyeing - we spent many happy days and nights printing and again, I loved to watch him work and assist him where I could - learning so much from him, and feeling inspired to make things myself. So thank you Dad, and thank you Jas x

In a world lead by big corporations I try as often as I can to support small independent companies, I source my raw materials from ethical , fairtrade and organic sources whenever possible.

I make small batches or one off pieces, if something is sold out please feel free to contact me to make enquire whether something will become available again. If you want a colour or size that isn’t shown here please email me and I can order one in specially for you and print it accordingly. I don’t hold large stocks of things so delivery times may vary.
